Update: since my last entry, I have passed every COVID test I've taken and I still feel AWESOME. I even took an official lab PCR saliva 24 hour test, all good.

I am going to australia!

well... I'm going to dallas, then la, then australia, and dallas is nothing but storms today so... let's see how this works out!

any tips for me? I try to not make a fool of myself on international travel, but batting about 0% on that based on other countries!

Probably the biggest one is to know that the Australian sense of humour can come across as somewhat mean to Americans - it involves a lot of teasing or deadpan cracks - but it's not considered mean in Australia amongst Australians. I have had to rein in my sense of humour a lot since I've been living here.

My American wife says to remember that although Australians speak English, you can't assume that they think the same as you.

But in general, just enjoy!
